Goal

In the fall of 2022, I developed a mock commercial for the liquor brand Champale as part of my class’ “If it Could Talk” project. I worked alongside the staff of the Trentoniana section at the Trenton Free Public Library to give a "voice" to an object with Trenton history. 

My plan was to create a mock commercial that delved into the history of Champale and its origin in Trenton, NJ using various newspaper clippings, photos, and websites to portray accurate information.

Script

I researched and consulted with Trentoniana historians to obtain and gather information on the Champale Brewing Company. From this research I utilized Champale's advertisements to create a script for the commercial.

Asset Creation and Animation

I then began creating 3D models and animating them using Autodesk Maya. During this time, I also drew assets of Champale bottles using real life references from the Trentoniana section. After rendering, I took the animations and imported them into After Effects where I finished off the commercial.

The project was met with much enthusiasm from our clients of the Trenton Free Public Library.
